NO NEED TO WORRY

BIBLE CHALLENGE (Day Three)

NO NEED TO WORRY
 (Matthew 6:25-34)

Robert the robin was a bird that had lots of years of experience living as a bird.

He had a young son named Ricky.

Robert wanted to teach Ricky how to get worms to eat for breakfast.

Robert flew with his son to the nearest patch of grass and looked around until he saw a worm slithering under the grass.

He quickly pecked at the grass and pulled the worm out of the ground. Ricky was impressed and couldn’t wait to try it for himself.

Then, Ricky seemed to be concerned. “What’s wrong, Ricky?” asked Robert. “Dad, what if the worms aren’t here tomorrow? What if they are all of a sudden all gone?”

Robert smiled at his son and calmly said, “Son, the worms will never run out. They are always here. God provides the worms for us every day. They were here yesterday, they are here today, and they will be here tomorrow.”

Ricky seemed relieved and started looking for his own worm.

You see, robins and other birds have nothing to worry about when it comes to their provision. It’s always there.

Jesus speaks to us in today’s passage about the focus we put towards the things of this world.

Have you ever tried to reassure someone when they are worried about something and you know everything is going to be Okay? You might say to them, “No need to worry.”

          THREE REASONS THAT
THERE IS NO NEED TO WORRY.

 1. No need to worry because it doesn’t help.

Jesus addresses this very explicitly in verse 27. He says, “Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?”
PLEASE, ANSWER THIS QUESTION SINCERELY.

2. No need to worry because God knows what you need.

Jesus said in verse 26 that "Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth  more (more important) than they?"
ONCE AGAIN, PLEASE, ANSWER THIS QUESTION SINCERELY FROM THE DEPTH OF YOUR HEART.

3. No need to worry because what we really need is God.

In verse 25, Jesus asked this Germain question thus, “Therefore I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?"

Smiles... I am the one asking you now according to the word of God_ lf you are not alive in 2022, will you be thinking of food in the grave? The people who died in 2021, and some have even died between 1st of this year and today, will they be thinking of food to eat in mortuary now? Answer this question. If you don't have a human body, like animals, will you be thinking of buying clothes to wear? Please, yiu must answer sincerely.

So, God Who has preserved your life till today and created you a human being, not an animal, doesn't know you will eat or wear clothes? Can you count the number of times yiu ate in 2021? Did you wear rags in 2021 going about on the street daily? Do you want to say God has not been good to you?

            CONCLUDING THOUGHTS
_ Should we be concerned with the things of this world? YES!

We need to plan and work and take care of ourselves and our families.

_ Should we be worried about the things of this world? NO!

We should seek God and His ways and the rest will work out for us in Jesus' Name, Amen 🙏

We need to focus on God more in 2022.

                    BOTTOM LINE:
Do not worry; seek the Lord of glory.
