WHEN I WAS A CHILD...

"Any pastor who buys jet, any pastor who has a school, any pastor who ordains his wife a pastor won't enter heaven."

As much as l don't totally support owing a personal private jet (because of the expenses on it, most especially the hanger, comparing that with the number of times it's needed to be used), but sometimes, out of over zealousness or present low of understanding, we preach certain things, but when we get to some levels, we realize those things are just non-essentials_ they are not part of the Gospel but mere man baseless understanding, misconception or personal interpretation that doesn't relate with the mind of Christ.

The wife of a pastor, if she's into the ministry alongside with her husband, doesn't need to be poured anointing oil upon. She's the pastor to the women directly in the church (as the women leader or coordinator) working directly with her husband for the perfection of the church and it's the Holy Ghost baptism that anoints a believer, not until anointing oil is poured upon someone, even though there are occasions for separate and special commission in which the leadership will have to specifically lay hands on and pray for the chosen one as led by the Holy Ghost.

Owing a school is an avenue on its own for the ministry to provide employment opportunities for members and non-members of the ministry, aside the fact that it helps the church to teach the students there directly in the way of the Lord as against the different porousity in many schools today. Thank God for few of these church schools maintaining standard even though some are mere business centres. The only clause is that the children of the lower class members can't attend these schools which is reasonable to some extent_ they are more often than not boarding schools; the school buys foodstuffs for the students and some members of staff to eat, pay different bills, pay workers (academic, non-academic, masons), pay the government, do maintenance, etcetera and these things run into billions TERMLY (every three months)!

Many years ago, l once preached that those who are using perfume are sinners. The last time I came across that preaching where l documented it, that should be last year or two years ago, l just shook my head and asked myself, "So, you preached this kind of thing back then as a young Christian, overly consumed by zeal...?" Even Jesus Christ was anointed (poured upon) by an oil of alabaster and the smell filled the whole house?  The scriptures encourage us to use perform because it's pleasant and gives fresh air.

There was a time, back then when we were on campus, my first degree, a brother who used face cap would be seen as worldly or backsliding. Even if you used bow tie, some people would be looking at you somehow as if tie is not tie and as if one decides not to use tie, he won't get to heaven. I have been sent off the pulpit before because I didn't use neck tie.

Some sisters even almost fought my father in the Lord because they were told to use face cap to sing on the crusade ground (the same face cap they used during publicity; some of them even wore it to their offices, it wasn't a sin), but when it was time to sing on the crusade ground, it became a sin.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Lord, help me to grow more in the knowledge of the scriptures and be more submissive to the teaching of the Holy Ghost. Amen ๐Ÿ™
