WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO IMPRESS?
Some people will sew/buy two wedding gowns_one for church and the other to snap pictures to post on social media. Don't know who they're trying to impress on Facebook
Beware of hypocrisy
Beware of a double standard life
Beware of creating a wrong impression on the mind of others, especially the younger ones or those coming behind you_ they are watching
Beware of men's and women's pleasers
Beware of showing up _ even what you are not_ but because you want to get remarks of the people
I was aware of some people who didn't even have the money, so there wasn't reception, but rather converted the money they would have used to entertain people who came from far away here and there to attend their wedding and rejoice with them to buying different changing clothes, shoes and bags to snap their fine fine pictures to post on social media in order to impress their social media people who didn't even know they were getting married, not family members, didn't contribute anything towards the success of their wedding and will never contribute any to their marriage, but just to impress, to show up they have what they didn't really have.
I just shook my head.
It's those pictures some people will see and begin to put eyes on what's not in your marriage even when some people are struggling to survive after wedding.
May God have mercy 🙏
WHO ARE WE TRYING TO IMPRESS ON SOCIAL MEDIA?
Some people that they are struggling daily even to eat, pay rent and wear good clothes normally, but when it's time for birthday, they will gather money here and there, including borrowing and begging, go to studio to snap pictures then they will edit the life out of the pictures thereby making the pictures completely even different from who they are when you see them and post on social media to get "good comments" here and there, but when you meet them in real life, you are confused as you try to relate the pictures on social media to the person you are seeing.
Why the hypocrisy?
Who are we trying to impress?
May God have mercy on us in Jesus' Name.
