BORN TO REIGN PART 1: The journey to the Promised Land
It's a pity comparing people born with silver spoon in their mouth with people born practically without any inheritance, none, even to the point of almost sponsoring themselves through schools in order to make it in life.
I didn't inherit a pin from my parents. With God through my struggling mum before her demise and two of my hustling elder sisters and personal commitment and self discipline, l went through public primary and secondary schools until my big sister (small mummy) said she wouldn't want me to finish in public secondary school. So withdrew me after SS 2 to a private school where she had to use practically her monthly salary to pay my school fees for the three terms and register me for WAEC and NECO.
I wrote my exams with fastings and prayers with determination not to let her down, seeing she wanted the best for me. Thanks be to God, l made my result once! You wouldn't explain how elated she was and celebrated me that I didn't let her down. Wasn't easy fasting, praying, reading and writing exams sometimes till around 7pm when I would get back home, but God did it even when I was only being moralistic without the gifts of God's salvation and righteousness.
To stay focused, l told my sister not to buy me JAMB form, instead, she lend me which I paid back when I had saved enough to pay back from the #2,000 l was being paid monthly where I started working after my secondary school. I was working yet preparing for JAMB. Again, God did it once! Within that one year of leaving secondary school, writing JAMB and waiting for admission, l had saved some money through which I paid my first school fees_ total package of about #10,200 if I can still remember clearly then opened my first bank account with Sky Bank and deposited #15,000 to assist myself when I assume campus.
In between, mummy and those my two elder sisters were helping to pay sessional school fees and few other things and once on break from school, I had gone to work, earn and save to get back to school to support the ones received from the trio.
Loving Father did it again, now, no more just a moralistic, but saved, sanctified and Spirit filled out of campus to my best of achievement becoming the first graduate of nine children being the second to the last born.
Many waters have passed under the bridge, we are here, shoulder high, staying focused, trusting and following God. It seems God has not even started with us yet, yes, we are still in the Potter's hands being moulded for the best He wants us to be. Some other day, I may be permitted to write more about my journey so far.
RESPECT PEOPLE WHO ARE HUSTLING BY THE GRACE AND MERCY OF GOD TO MAKE IMPACTS IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING INSTEAD OF PULLING THEM DOWN OR COMPARING THEM WITH LEKKI AND BANANA ISLAND CHILDREN.
If you can conceive it and believe it, I believe it also that you can achieve it if you stay focused, trusting the LORD.
Born to shine, born to reign, spread your wings and fly like an eagle 🦅
